Pink Surprise Lily (Lycoris)
24-26" tall x 12" wide. Pink Surprise Lily is a fun addition to the summer garden. Once established 'Pink Surprise' will naturalize and return every summer to enchant and delight. Add unique color in woodland gardens, in meadows, or pair with hostas or other leafy perennials to hide their fading foliage. Plant Pink Surprise Lily in well-draining, compost-enriched soil in a sunny to part-shade location, with the top of the bulb 2-3" below soil level and 6-8" apart. Water and mulch with compost in colder zones. Surprise Lily needs only moderate water during the summer after the leaves die back. It may take a season or two to establish, so be patient, as they are well worth the wait! Pest resistant, and deer avoid them.
